Lloyal Dawson Paugh, of Nettie, West Virginia went home to be with his Lord on Friday, March 25, 2016 after a long illness. Lloyal was residing with his son in Nettie, WV.  Lloyal was born July 16, 1924 in Swanton, Maryland to the late Ervin and Mary Easter Paugh.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Velma Bartlett Paugh, and Louella Mace to whom he was married from 1994 to 2005. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Ervin Jr and one sister Jean Salisbury.  Survivors include two sisters, Mary June (Byron) Angus, Elkins, WV and Hagar Paugh of Mill Creek, WV; sons, Richard D. (Diane) of Valley Head, WV and Ervin H. “Butch” (Marsha) of Nettie, WV; grandchildren Katrina (Bo) Spinks, of Craigsville, WV, Serena (Tim) Nelson, of Lenoir, NC, Eric (Denise) Paugh, Colorado Springs, CO, James (Barbie) Paugh, Weston, WV and Patrick Paugh of Summersville, WV.   He had 10 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.   Lloyal was a WWII 


Veteran, Prisoner of War and earned a Purple Heart for being wounded in combat.  He was a devoted husband, father and Pappaw, Christian by faith and ministered the gospel.  He was an avid gardener, hunter, and fisherman.  He worked as a coal miner for 38 years retiring from Westmoreland Coal Company in 1990.  
Funeral services will be held at Olive Branch Baptist Church, Nettie, WV. On Tuesday, March 29 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm till 8:00 PM, Monday, March 28, 2016 in the Olive Branch Baptist Church, Nettie, WV. With Ervin “Butch” Paugh officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Nettie, WV.
